Dylan Stewart provides lessons in cartooning and realistic drawing for students ages 5 - 18, plus students have the opportunity to work with a variety of other art materials including paint, clay, model magic, jewelry, masks and more. For students ages 18 - adult, Dylan offers courses and classes in drawing, oil painting, and watercolor.
Simple, Effective art philosophy
Ages 5 - 18
Dylan Stewart’s art classes for ages 5 - 18 begin with a drawing lesson. Following the lesson, students are given access to the studio to pursue any art making project that interests them.
Projects include sculpture, model making, painting, mask making, jewelry making, terrarium design and more. Students are also encouraged to invent their own art projects using any materials found throughout the studio. Students are given complete creative freedom without instructor or adult interference. Help and guidance is given only if requested. Students are encouraged to problem solve and engage in creative discussions with other students.
Dylan’s approach creates a powerful creative environment where students are given freedom and autonomy over their creative choices. This allows for a range of observed benefits including creative discovery and mastery, improved self-confidence, prolonged focus, increased problem solving ability, and more.
Dylan Stewart
Dylan Stewart has over 25 years professional experience as a designer and artist. He has designed and illustrated a range of projects for 20th Century Fox Television, Best Buy, The Food Network, Dermalogica, and several other major brands, as well as designing digital and print Emmy campaigns for the hit sketch comedy show, MADtv. He has also worked as a costume illustrator, most notably for Emmy winning costume designer, Wendy Benbrook.
