Summer Art Camps 2020

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space in camp. If cancellation is due to a student not being able to make it to camp, tuition can be applied to our other virtual or in-person services. The only time that all camp tuition is refundable is if there is a mandated closure from the state or city.

How we are Cultivating a

Safe Creative Community for Camps

Hello Parents and Artists!

This summer is looking a little different than our past summers - in the event of COVID related closures and tentative re-openings, it raises the question:

How can we be conscious and careful while still bringing you all the art fun that comes with our camps?

Well, we figured the best way for you to feel most supported is by being super transparent of how we will be operating, and giving you all the information you need to aid in your summer plan decisions!

Comfort

Care

Shorter Activities

40 minutes long instead of our usual 50 minute activities

Mask Breaks

If one is needed during an activity, artists can go to a designated 'mask free zone' away from other students and temporarily remove their mask, and hold in a bag. These breaks will typically be one minute long.

Snack Time

We will have snack time in between each of our 3 art activities, for about 15-20 minutes each time. Snack time will be outside, so that students can have mask breaks and social distance while outside.

No Touch Games

charades

hangman

pictionary

sketch scavenger

hopskotch

paper airplane competition

Gallery Walk

Held at the end of each day, students will walk around the room in a socially distant line, and get to see everyone's creations! This will be recorded and posted to our private Facebook group for camp parents, since we won't be able to permit parents inside the classrooms.

Social Distancing Guidelines

Parents are not permitted inside the classrooms

Staff will have masks on at all time, and may have face shields and gloves on

Students will have masks on inside at all times;

All drawing benches and tables are

6 -7 feet apart from each other.

There will be painted floor tiles to "map" out how artists can move around the classroom while staying socially distant

Drop Off and Pick Up only for your artists (Camp Day 1 is an exception)

Drop Off/Pick Up entrance are our front doors facing Broadway

Please pack snacks/lunch, and enough for 2 snack breaks. We are unable to provide snacks.
