Drawing Class

Mondays 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Perfect for anyone interested in learning how to draw figuratively or realistically. This is an “atelier” style, process-based drawing program with a focus on “learning to see.” The goal is to capture the 3 dimensional world around us on a 2 dimensional surface with a high degree of craftsmanship and precision. Commitment to seeing deeply and being in the moment is the goal.

Oil Painting Class

Tuesdays 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Students learn classical figurative or “realistic” painting. Each painting is approached with the goal of “learning to see” on a deeper level. Students learn the techniques that will allow them to confidently identify and utilized line, shape, volume, value, form, and color in their paintings. Drawing techniques are also discussed and practiced. The class is recommended for beginner and intermediate oil painting students that want to learn oil painting from a classical, atelier style approach.

Watercolor Class

Thursdays 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Students learn a range of techniques and effects that are unique to watercolor painting. These included wet on dry, wet on wet, washes, dry brush, splattering, sponging, layering, masking, lifting, subtractive scratch off, special effects using salt, plastic wrap, alcohol, and more. Students will also learn fundamental drawing skills to improve both their sketching abilities and the quality of their watercolor paintings.

IMPORTANT: No adult classes April 6th - 10th, Thursday, April 23rd
